2011 Audi A4 Allroad Overview
With many similar attributes of A4 Avant, Audi separately placed another wonder carrying a good off-road capability under the same A4 platform. Audi A4 Allroad was developed to overcome the lower ground clearance of A4 Avant as the people living in hilly and bulky areas need a good gap between road and the vehicle so that the vehicle doesn’t gets a stuck in some unwanted situation or better doesn’t gets a dash in the lower base.
A4 Allroad is available in only a single trim level, the A4 Allroad Equipment. The main change includes a rise in ground clearance by 1.5 inches and is wider too by 0.8 inches. This reduces the risk of getting stuck in unwanted situations in uneven or sloppy areas. Another major difference is that even after switching the ESP mode to off, the vehicle will not shut the whole system; rather it will recognize the off-road conditions by itself and will keep the engine boosted for some extra responsiveness. The rear bumper gets some aluminum highlighting for extra sportier looks. The frontal looks also feature some distinct styling in the fog light panels. Interior are all the same and though, the car is on a A4 platform, so slightly shorter like the A4 Avant, the space is just ok, not roomy. As being available in just a single trim, the car features 3-zone deluxe climate control air conditioning, electrically operated and heated side mirrors, acoustic windscreen, rear 12V socket, automatic headlights and wiper operation, headlight washers, cruise control, acoustic parking system and storage package as standard.
A4 Allroad is only available in 3 engine formats; 2.0L TFSI, 2.0L TDI and 3.0L TDI. The petrol engine churns out a max power of 211ps at max torque of 350@1500-4200rpm whereas the 2.0L TDI engine produces a max power of 170ps at the max torque of 350@1750-2500rpm which indicates more power off road conditions. The last engine 3.0L TDI outputs the power of 240ps at the torque level of 500@1500-3000rpm which is the most responsive out of all three. All the engines come with QUATTRO as standard.
The pricing for the 2.0L TDI model is £31,165 whereas the 2.0L TFSI model costs slight more to £32,915. Above all, the 3.0L TDI model is priced at £36,900. All the model carry great features and QUATTRO wheel drive as being standard.
