The German auto maker Audi introduced its latest sports coupe, the Audi RS5 Coupe at the last Geneva Auto Show in 2010. The elegant coupe had started creating ripples even before it had come out over the roads. It is praised for its sleek, sophisticated and sizzling looks. It is the second boy in the RS series after Audi RS3.

The Audi RS5 is expected to carry an improved valve controlled stainless steel exhaust system with the 4.2 liter V8 engine which will deliver increased output of 506 hp and 478Nm of torque. This makes it powerful enough to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. The Quattro all wheel, enigmatic machine comes with a seven speed S tronic transmission which not only gives it superior shifting with ease but also provides improved fuel efficiency.

The RS5 Coupe is a leader in a long Audi tradition of superior performance in mid size class. The car is installed with many safety features. These include 6 airbags – front and side, EBS, fog lamps, warning systems and various useful sensors. The vehicle is further equipped with the antilock braking system and the electronic brake force distribution system along with the electronic stability program. All these provide a more controlled and safer driving experience to the front as well as the rear passengers.

The RS5 is proving to be quite a head turner, both with its performance as well as its looks. The interior of the Audi has been done up in style and exudes grandeur and class. The sporty look is accentuated with the carbon inlays and aluminum inserts. Perforated grey leather is used to cover the steering wheel. The leather seats are adjustable, specially made to provide added comfort and safety. The car also comes with other features such as dual climate controlled AC, power windows, electric door mirrors, rear defogger, heated side mirrors etc.

The car comes with both positive and negative points. Its positive points are its excellent engine that provides supreme performance. The seats are comfortable and classy. The car itself looks magnificent.  The superior suspension system provides for great handling and the excellent braking system provides greater security and controlled driving. The traction control and smooth transition from one gear to other further increases the car’s performance. The car is much in demand for its superior speed and performance.

The Audi RS5 Coupe  however also has received negative feedback. The car does not have foldable rear seats so one cannot extend the storage space. There is no rear wiper or rear AC vent in the RS5 which sounds strange in such a class of car. Many feel that the Audi has been priced too high and its price does not match up to its performance and low fuel economy.

The Audi RS5 can be bought at a price of  approx $105,000 USD or € 77,000.
