The German car makers are known for not only the beautiful cars that they have been rolling out but also for the cut throat competition that they give to each other. The BMW X5 is the master of sports utility vehicles. This car not only brings a great off road capability but also the huge performance capacity. Audi launched the Audi Q7 SUV in the year 2006 in order to counter the popularity of Porsche Cayenne, another popular car in the same segment. Audi Q7 became one of the most sought after cars in the SUV segment in a very short span of time and we can see the success of this SUV on roads.
Audi Q7 has been based on the platform of Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne. In its attempt to make the car much lighter and smaller than the models of previous years, Audi AG has decided to use aluminum as much as possible in the construction of the car.
