The new 2014 Audi TT will be looking to get power increases across all three models. The TT, TT-S, and TT-RS should all get increased power, as well as increased fuel economy. The new base engine will reportedly be the improved 2.0T which puts out 220HP over the current cars 211HP, and torque should also be higher across the board. The Audi TT-S will most likely get the 2015 Audi S3’s 2.0T motor which puts out 300HP, the current Audi TT-S puts out 265HP so that would be a nice sizable increase. We have two fun to drive small cars here. The Audi TT-RS which is currently powered by a 335HP 2.5L Turbocharged 5 cylinder engine. The next challenger, the BMW 1M is powered by a 335HP twin-turbo inline-6. As you can see, both cars are matched up well against one another when it comes to performance. The Audi TT-RS features 332 lb-ft of torque, whereas the 1M features, also features the same 332 lb-ft of torque. However, the real interesting thing about the torque numbers on the BMW 1M, is the 1M features an “overboost” feature where the torque can go all the way up to 370 lb-ft of torque if the power is needed.

The Audi TT Ultra Quattro Concept is not only a great looking car, but a phenomenal performer as well. The grill is an evolution of the current car, with its logo on top of the grille and the full honeycomb grill across the bottom. This grille of this concept is definitely taking styling cues from the Audi Quattro concept which debuted a couple of years ago. The one thing that stands out the most about this Audi TT Ultra Quattro concept is the insanely low weight of only 2650 pounds. That is over 600 pounds lighter than the current production car, which is already low weight in its own right. The Audi TT was the first car Audi made, that used the aluminum space frame technology to reduce weight. A weight reduction like this was almost unheard of just a couple of years ago.
